Title: Numerical Simulation of High-Speed Flows About Waveriders with Sharp Leading Edges

Abstract:
A procedure for the numerical simulation of stagnation-free, inviscid,
supersonic and hypersonic flows about geometries with sharp leading edges
has been developed. Specialized grid generation techniques, an algebraic
solution-adaptive grid scheme, and a modified flow solving method are
discussed. Results for several waverider geometries are presented and
compared with exact solutions, other numerical solutions and experimental
results. The results demonstrate the ability of this procedure to produce
stagnation-free Euler solutions about sharp-edged configurations and to
capture the physics of the flow in these regions accurately.
