Kevin's Online Tools: Panel Code Version 2
Welcome to Kevin's Online Panel Code Version 2. This utility can be used to pridict the low-speed flow about NACA 4/5-digit airfoils as well as
the additional 1550 airfoils contained in the UIUC Airfoil Coordinates Database.
This utility is incrementally upgraded. See the version history below for details. The most significant change in version 2.x over version 1.x
is the use of a locally developed Fortran graphics library, providing 24-bit, true-color rendering of aliased lines and shaded polygons, including
alpha-channel support. This results in much higher quality graphics, however, as I do not have a Fortran library that will generate binary, compressed
image data, the code generates rather bulky ASCII PPM image data, which is piped through a conversion routine to deliver the final image to the client.
On our P4-1.5GHz server, this step requires a second or two, depending on the server load.
Please enjoy the new utility, and feel free to let me know what you think. Note, the documentation links below may take some time to get done.
Please bear with me until I can get them finished.
